A rare and large WW2 silk imperial Japanese flag, flown during the height of the War, these are often negatively associated with the Kamikaze pilots, but were actually a symbol of the Imperial Navy during the Meiji period in the late 1800s and even earlier, used among some warlords in the Edo period.
Finding great condition, well-aged-silk-anything is nigh impossible, but this rare beauty stands apart and stands tall.
