I just received my knife, so we will see how it holds up over the years, but on first inspection, it feels very solid. The parts move smoothly, securely locking into both the open and closed positions, and there is no wiggling present at the hinge. It also arrived sharp enough to slide through my notebook paper. It is slim enough to fit in my jeans pocket, but large and sturdy enough for me to lookward to its use at a campsite.
As a poet with a flare for the dramatic, the skull logo and the rhymed verse engraved on the handle caught my eye. The engraving is deep enough to be clearly readable, but not so deep that cleaning will be a challenge. I look for both form and function in my tools, and I'm very pleased with the way this knife delivers both.
I appreciated the artful wrapping, as well as the field notes style notebook and sticker that were included in the parcel.
Truly a thing of beauty!
