Early 1900s O.O. (Old Orkney) Whisky Enamelled Ashtray

The Scottish Stromness Distillery was established in 1817, with its scotch sold for many years under the name Man O’Hoy, named after a distinctive landmark in the Orkney archipelago where it was located.

Although it closed in 1867, Stromness Distillery was restored in 1878, with the distillery itself being renamed Man O’Hoy and its whisky marketed as Old Orkney / ‘O.O’.
